Step 1: Getting Started with Vitalist and GTD.
Start out by putting anything you may need to do or remember in
your Vitalist inbox. This can include to-dos, notes, projects,
ideas, phone numbers, etc. The idea is to get it out of your
head and into Vitalist.
Step 2: Getting Organized with Vitalist and GTD.
After you have added actions to your inbox, you need to process
them and get them organized. Each action can be moved to its
appropriate list. These lists include:
Actions: Things you are ready to get done
Waiting: Things you are waiting for other people to do
Someday: Items you want to think about in the future but are
unsure when
Ticklers: Items you would like to be reminded about on a
specific day in the future Reference: Un-actionable items that
you would like to remember
Once the appropriate lists have been chosen, you can add
attributes to each action or item like projects, contexts, due
dates, and priority.
You can also set up actions with reminders and to repeat at
specific intervals.
Step 3: Getting Things Done (GTD)!
Now that you have organized what you need to do, it is time to
start getting things done.
Vitalist gives you the power to access your lists and actions
from anywhere. Mark your items complete as you go. All actions
are archived so you can easily review how much you got
done.

GETTING THINGS DONE (GTD)
Vitalist makes use of David Allen's GTD methodology.
In an effort to bring GTD online, they created Vitalist.
It implements every step of David Allen's methodology so you
don't have to keep track of it yourself. No more painstaking
updates of documents, spreadsheets, or paper to-do-lists. With
Vitalist, your lists are online, in GTD format, and ready to be
accessed or updated from anywhere.
VERDICT
The interface is clean, listing Inbox,
Projects, Actions, Waiting, Someday, and Reference tabs. Making
heavy use of Ajax, the system moves pretty smoothly between
capture (inbox), sorting (projects) and doing (actions).
I think it's a great tool to keep an eye on your projects and
your to do's.
It integrates fine with my iCal application (MAC)
Vitalist is a simple to use and powerful list manager, and has
become my tool of choice for my list management.
