Tasks Pro Account
Set Up a Tasks Pro Account
Tasks pro is a multi user to do list. It is the most
advanced and comprehensive of the four task management systems
made by Crowd Favorite Ltd. Tasks Pro is hosted on your
own computer server and is intended for many users.
Step 1 Upon installing your account onto your server,
note that there is a 14 day free trial which is hosted on the
Crowd Favorite servers. If you choose this option they
will send you your data from the free trial to install when you
install the software.
Step 2. Go into your administrative area and choose
your preferences. You will also set your server settings
by clicking on the Server button in the top toolbar.
Step 3. In your administrative area click on groups
and create a new group.
Step 4. Again, in your administrative area, click on
Users and create your user groups by clicking on New
User. You can create as many as you like and set
restrictions on who sees what. This means if youíre
working on a project you can add all members of the team into a
user group but if you only want top level team members to see
certain information you can restrict access.
Step 5. If you want to add new mailboxes, click on
mailbox in your admin area. This can be helpful if youíll
be working from multiple email accounts or computers, say for
example youíre doing some work from home and some from an
office.
Step 6. Creating a task. All tasks can be
assigned a:
ï Name
ï Description
ï Deadline
ï Priority
ï Tags
ï URL (s)
ï Percentage complete
ï Recurring task
ï Sticky task

Once all items have been addressed, the task can be saved as
a task or a note. You can also choose what screen youíre
taken to after your task has been created. To create a
parent task, choose New Task From Template and create a parent
task from which all other tasks can be derived from.
Step 7. Creating a note. Note creating is as
simple as giving it a title and entering your information.
After you create a task and a note, take a look at the View
Tree screen. Youíll see the name of your task at the top
and any and all relevant notes branching off of it. It
gives you a hierarchy of documentation which can be extremely
helpful when determining the status of a task or following the
flow to determine what went wrong. Note: You can
also create sub notes or notes within notes and sub
tasks. Take a look at the Sortable button on the left
hand toolbar, click on sortable and explore the icons to the
right of each task and note. You can also edit or delete
tasks in this screen.

That is the essence of Task Pro however there are many more
intricate features including blog posting via WordPress or
Moveable Type. It also allows you to create iCalendars
and RSS Feeds of your tasks. You can even create themes
for your pages and tasks.
