Review: When I first considered doing at home work my biggest concern was how I was going to track the hours I worked. I thought if I had to do it by hand it would never work. I'm horrible about writing things down and then losing the paper I wrote it on. Not a good combination when we're talking about time worked. I knew there had to be some sort of software available to help me with this and that's when I heard about Timestamp. With Timestamp I can set different hourly wages for different clients on their own separate timesheets. My hourly rates are pretty much based on the different types of work I do. I can set it up for different clients and different amounts with very little effort. This keeps me straight without having to spend a lot of time. Timestamp also shows me how much time I've spent on a certain project once I input the notes for each particular line item on the timesheet. From hours to minutes to the exact second I was working. This helps when it comes to managing time for my clients and myself. The software also keeps a running total of time on each timesheet. By adding each of the project times together there's an exact amount for each client when it comes time to invoice. There no adding and subtracting necessary on my part. Making invoice time easier and much faster. I also have the ability to export the information in the timesheets to text files. This makes it easier to send the information to clients, as is or by copying and pasting into an Excel spreadsheet. Also with Timestamp I can correct any errors I make. I have a bad habit of not starting my time, but with Timestamp I can easily make adjustments if necessary. There are also times that I forget to stop timing, but it's ok because the software even allows for slack time and you can easily adjust accordingly. My clients never get billed for time I wasn’t working on their projects and I don't have to worry about not getting paid for work I completed. Timestamp has been a lifesaver for my business. No hassles, no scares and most of all no lost work time or fun time. Best of all it’s free. Timestamp is great for service based business owners like myself who work by the hour.. |
