Organizing Home OfficeHome office organization
tips
Your home office probably gets a lot of use and so it can prove
to be a challenge when organizing it. You need to de-clutter
your home office, but it also needs to stay functional and
efficient as a workspace. You can do this by organizing
everything you need so that it’s easy to hand.
If you’re like me then you have hundreds of pieces of important
paper that you need to keep, an ideal place to store this is in
a desk draw, you can also store your office supplies in there.
You need lots of drawer storage space, consider using draw
dividers to organize your drawers.
Computers are wonderful, but I’m sure you could do without the
spaghetti of cables which is under your desk. You can use tie
wraps to shorten the length of the cables, just make sure you
don’t make them so tight that you’ll pull things off your
desk.
You can make your home office more efficient by adding a filing
cabinet and a bookshelf. Filing cabinets can help to keep your
paperwork in good condition. Find a space for everything that
you need.
Instead of writing down notes on scraps of paper try writing
them on a whiteboard. Write “Home Office” on all of the things
in your home office which are likely to go walkabouts! This way
they will be returned to your home office if they are
borrowed.
A great way to save space is to use a small collapsible folder
which you can store in your closet. You can fit quite a lot of
documents in these folders. They are very useful for storing
your receipts safely in once place. You can have different
folders and label them for different purposes.
