Being a Mom Doesn’t have to be Stressful!
Almost every single mom I know is stressed, people seem to
think that it goes with the territory! Stress always tries to
invade the lives of mothers all around the world. There are so
many ways for it to enter, through mess, naughty children or
hectic lives. There are a couple of really good ways that a
mother can decrease their stress levels to practically
nothing.
The bathroom is one of the most relaxing rooms in your whole
house, what could be more relaxing than getting into a lovely
warm bath and try to visualize this. Just imagine where you
would want to be if you could be anywhere on the planet. Forget
about all of your worries and imagine that you’re there.
Imagine you can see the sights, smell the smells and even feel
the wind against your face. This is a simple relaxation
technique, it doesn’t even have to be done in the bath. You can
visualize and imagine anywhere, when you’re on the train or
even at work! You shouldn’t try it while driving though!
If you own an MP3 player then this is a great way to relax, you
can put some of your favorite tunes on your MP3 player so that
you can listen to music when your life becomes stressful. If
you don’t own an MP3 player then I suggest you get one, they’re
not exactly expensive anymore! By listening to music which we
relate to happy times we are less stressful, we remember why we
were happy at this time and feel good about ourselves!
I’m sure you’ve heard it all before but laughter is the best
medicine, no it truly is! Try reading a comic in your
newspaper, or even watch a comedy show on TV. This will work
the muscles in your abdomen. Laughing people are healthy!
Stress can be caused by your brain not working efficiently,
this can be as a result of a reduced blood flow to the brain.
To restore this you can simply stand you your head. You just
need to keep your head lower than your body for a few minutes.
An increased flow of blood means that there is more oxygen
available to the brain. Whatever you do don’t spring up after
standing on your head otherwise you will get a headache.
Another possible solution is having a drink, nothing alcoholic
mind. Just drink tea, it really does calm you down especially
if you opt for a herbal tea. Just spend a few minutes relaxing
while you drink your tea. Drinking tea doesn’t take very long,
in fact it can be done in less than 15 minutes.
