Time management, goal setting and organizing have always been
of importance in peoples lives.
Managing time has gained importance in the last century als
peoples expectations, demands grew whilst the time available
remained the same.
Goal setting is a concept Edwin A. Locke began to examine in
the mid-1960s and continued researching goal setting for thirty
years. Locke derived the idea for goal setting out of
Aristotle’s theory of final causality. According to Aristotle,
action is caused by a purpose; thus, Locke began researching
the impact goals have on individual performance.
In most goal setting lieterature action is still though to be
caused by a purpose.
Organizational skills have also gained in importance as the
information overflow and abundance of things is causing more
and more people stress in finding the right stuff at the right
