Life management has always been here.
Time management, goal setting and organizing have always been of importance in peoples lives.

Managing time has gained importance in the last century als peoples expectations, demands grew whilst the time available remained the same.

Goal setting is a concept Edwin A. Locke began to examine in the mid-1960s and continued researching goal setting for thirty years. Locke derived the idea for goal setting out of Aristotle’s theory of final causality. According to Aristotle, action is caused by a purpose; thus, Locke began researching the impact goals have on individual performance.

In most goal setting lieterature action is still though to be caused by a purpose.

Organizational skills have also gained in importance as the information overflow and abundance of things is causing more and more people stress in finding the right stuff at the right time.
